He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyette Edgar "Sunshine" Morton and Dorothy Morton; and his brothers, Steve Morton (Betty) and Allen Todd Morton. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Byrd Morton; his sisters, Katha Lee Morton Hosea and Lynn Morton Bland (Kirby); his children, Lynn Morton Schrago, William Barry Morton, Jr., Katherine Morton Gurley (Russ) and Mary Dorothy Morton; and his grandchildren, Austin Russell Gurley (Meg), William Jackson Gurley (Lacey), Morton Adam Gurley (Kayla), Bain Riley Gurley (Katie), Madison Gurley Gray (Payton), Emma Marshall Schrago, Maria Katherine Schrago, William Barry Morton III and Ann Miller Morton. He is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren.
