He was predeceased by: his father Boyd V. Walton, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Rachel A. Walton; his wife Kathy; his children, Rachel Knowlton (Keith) and Jonathan; his sister Vickie Rader (Dave); and his grandchildren, Mary Katherine, Henry, Frances and Crawford Knowlton. He is also survived by his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Tom's name may be sent to Children's Harbor on Lake Martin (a ministry to seriously ill children and their families) or to Mountain Brook Baptist Church.
