It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tara Smith Hontzas of Birmingham, Alabama, born in Alcoa, Tennessee, who passed away on January 8, 2023, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Smith and Shirley Smith. She is survived by: her daughters, Jacqueline (Hunter) and Zoe; her siblings, Jackie (Teddy), Tony (Terry), Tim (Lisa) and Tom; and her pet Peter. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or the Leukemia Research Foundation.
