It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sue C. Culpepper of Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on November 9, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Grissaffi and Lucille Runk Grissaffi; her husband Scott Culpepper; and her siblings, Blanche Holden, Peggy Cooper, Gail Hollingworth, Betty Clark, Joyce Wolff, Bill and Eddie Grissaffi.

She is survived by: her siblings, Joseph Grissaffi, Lewis Grissaffi and Patricia Boggs; her daughters, Christina Lea Nelson (Jonathan F. Nelson, Sr.) and Cynthia Sue Culpepper; and her grandchildren, Jonathan Jr. and Sophia Nelson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
