“Steven, or Rocky as his friends knew him, was a huge part of my life for a couple of years when I worked as a bartender at a local brewery. He was a staple of the place, and we could always count on him for fun conversation, quick and hysterical zingers, and excellent hugs. He watched over me as I worked, and I drove him home on several occasions when the weather wasn’t good or he wasn’t feeling the best. He spoke fondly of and loved his parents and sister, Beverly, and he will be missed. ❤️”

“One of my favorite stories that he told me revolves around the fact he didn’t drive. His sweetheart of a mother, knowing that the first and only time he drove he wrecked the car, offered to get him a pony to ride around downtown Birmingham. He was in tears laughing at the thought of himself getting ON the creature, much less taking care of it, and it’s stuck with me like glue.”
