We are sad to announce that on April 16, 2023, at the age of 62, Steven D. Varden of Birmingham, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Inez Bates Sinyard; his brother Randy Varden; and his sister-in-law Sharon Hanson Varden. He is survived by: his daughter Stephanie Golden (Matthew); his granddaughters, Katie and Madelyn Golden; his siblings, Jim Varden and Susan Hand Varden (Mike); his sister-in-law Joanie Varden; and his nieces and nephews, Brian Varden, David Varden (Brandy), Corey Varden (Emily), Brandy Sunday (Chris), Christina Babineaux (Chris) and Jamie Hand (Eric). He is also survived by great nieces and nephews, other relatives and close friends.
