He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Hughes and Florrie "Flo" Hughes; his wife Diane Hughes; and his brother Robert Hughes. He is survived by: his children, Jonathan Hughes (Donna), Joshua Hughes (Jamie) and Kate Hughes; his grandchildren, Ryleigh Hughes, Kahnor Hughes, Ella Hughes, Sadie Hughes and Hudson Hughes; and his siblings, Karen McCarty (Lee), Jerry Hughes (Ellen) and Sherryl Hughes. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

“I'm so disheartened to think that after the passing of Sid that his two sons would take everything and do such a horrible turn to LeeAnn and the two children. The two children do not need to be split apart and moved from the house. The sons should show some mercy and let the kids and LeeAnn live in the house at least until they are 18. Mercy must prevail..”
