He was predeceased by: his parents, James Howard Howell and Shirley Sue Howell. He is survived by: his son William Edward Howell of Birmingham, Alabama; his sister Rebecca Nelms (Melvin); his niece Sara Nelms Corn (Lathe) of Memphis, Tennessee; his nephew Bryan Carmichael of Tuscaloosa; and his cousins, Carol Glover (Roy) of Smoke Rise and Donna Wood of Crestview. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
