It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Louise McKimmon of Birmingham, Alabama, born in Roanoke, Virginia, who passed away on January 5, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Louise Ramsey Burkholder and John Howland Burkholder; her husband William Simpson McKimmon; and her son William Hunt McKimmon. She is survived by: her children, Ann McKimmon Sikes (Griffin) and David Ramsey McKimmon; her granddaughter Claire Sikes-Clark (Zifton); and her sister-in-law Mary McKimmon. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
