She is survived by: her husband Gooch Smithson; her children, David McKeever (Kay), Michael Smithson (Karen) and Tammie Berry (Lester); and her grandchildren, Nicole Ard (Ken), Michelle Hammond (Arthur), Matthew Smithson and Alex Tracy (Matthew).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home (1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
