We are sad to announce that on November 18, 2021, at the age of 100, Samuel E. Russell Jr. of Birmingham, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Ewart and Susan Wishart Russell; and his son-in-law Wallace Robert Clopton. He is survived by: his wife Mary Naughton Russell; his children, Brandon Russell (Nancy Shealy), Marcus Russell, Katherine Clopton and Marley McWilliams (Michael); his grandchildren, Scott Russell, Katie Brannan and William McWilliams; and his great grandchildren, Connor and Mason Brannan.

In lieu of flowers memorials in memory of Samuel Russell, Jr. may be directed to the Greater Birmingham Human Society or your favorite charity.
