He is survived by: his wife Dianne Butler Hill; his siblings, Dr. Bobby Hill (Roxie), Anthony Hill and Maxine Johnson (Alvin); his children, Ashley Green, Demetris Avery (James), Nathan and LaQuietta Butler; and his grandchildren, Natalia, Gabriel and James Avery II. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
