She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira James Simmons and Edna MacDonald Simmons; and her siblings, Christine Patterson, Herschel Simmons and Donald Simmons.

She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon McKay Jewett and Reba Phillips; and her grandsons, Adam Phillips and Clay Jewett.
