He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Ann Lowe and Phillip Whittaker; and his son Michael L. Whittaker. He is survived by: his wife Angenette E. Whittaker; his siblings, Charles Whittaker of San Antonio, TX, Bessie Moseley-Harris of Birmingham, AL and Phyllois of Avon, OH; and his nieces and nephews, Stefanie McCray (Cecil) of Harrisburg, PA, Tonia Blanks (James) of Birmingham, AL, Tamara Smith (Kelvin) of Birmingham, AL and Robert E. Whittaker (Ciara) of Birmingham, AL. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
