He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Shepherd, Sr. and Ida "Bobbie" Wylie Shepherd; and his brothers, Everett Shepherd, Jr. and James Wylie Shepherd. He is survived by: his cousin Charles Sharp; his wife Virginia Smith Shepherd; his children, Everett Shepherd III (Hugh) and Mary Berkeley Shepherd Pritchard (Pete); and his granddaughter Margaret Pritchard Wiles (Grayson).
