He was predeceased by: his parents, Emile Joseph and Emmajane Schaefer Toya; and his wife Donna Beavers Toya. He is survived by: his children, Richard E. Toya Jr. (Nancy), Rebecca Toya Grant (Bruce) and Charlotte Toya Autrey (Walt); his grandchildren, Richard Brandon Toya (Alli), Caroline Carr, Virginia, Elizabeth Grant, Rachel and Carter Autrey; his great grandchildren, Alexander James and Nicolas Parker Toya; and his sister Beverly Toya Rogers.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Dick's honor to Brother Bryan Mission and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, continuing his legacy of service and generosity.
