It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Brown of Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on October 15, 2020, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Richard Brown to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, David Ree and Remertha J. Brown. He is survived by: his siblings, Vannessa, Willie Rushon, Jr. (Belinda) of Birmingham and Roderick Brown (Bessie) of Buford, Georgia; his former wife Sophia White Brown; his daughters, Detra JaNay White and Kimber JaNese Williams (Trey); his brothers-in-law, Pastor Kelvin M. Bryant and Derrick C. Bryant; his nieces and nephews, Alethea, Danyietta, Renwick, De'Undre and LaJaune; his great-niece Khadijah; and his great-nephews, Daizhan, Renwick Jr. and Braylon. He is also survived by other relatives, church family and friends.

He was also a dedicated advocate and member of the Central Alabama Sickle Cell Foundation and the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America, Central Alabama Chapter.
