It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond Thomas Sr. of Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on September 5, 2021, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mamie Thomas and Ralph Edwards. He is survived by: his significant other Sandra Rutledge Thomas; his children, Tamika Skipwith (Derrick) of Hoover, Raymond Thomas Jr. of Birmingham and Casey Russell of Birmingham; his grandchildren, Raimesha Thomas, Raymond Thomas III, Ahmere Thomas and JaCoby Skipwith; and his siblings, Annie Lois Drake (Charlie), Charles Thomas (Carolyn), Doris Goree, Robert Thomas, Cheryl (James) of Washington, Beverly Nelson (Augustus) and Lorenzo Edwards (Jacqueline). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
