It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Perry Reed of Birmingham, Alabama, born in Guin, Alabama, who passed away on January 25, 2021, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Alice Lipsey and Edward Bea Lipsey; his daughter Sophia Lashay Riggins; his grandchildren, Jonathan Lavell Riggins, Shamia Lashay Riggins, Ma'Kaila Ja'nae Acklin, Dewayne Cortez Harris (Aaron) and Maliyah Juonte Riggins; and his brothers, David L. Reed and Lee P. Lipsey.

He is survived by: his girlfriend Tasha Bishop; his daughter Shontae Latrishia Riggins; and his siblings, Shirley Selvage, Shelia Truelove, Shania Truelove, Janice Conellia Salter of Hamilton, AL, Steven, Stanley Lipsey of Birmingham, AL, Gogue Reed of Albany, GA and Mark Reed of Albany, GA.
