She was predeceased by: her husband Horace Edward Norton; her son Edward Neal Norton; and her brother Dr. Harold Lester Flatt. She is survived by: her daughter Elizabeth Anne "Betsy" Norton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society.
