He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Arthur Cozad and Doris Newman Cozad; his wife Juanita "Nita" Pee Cozad; his siblings, Jack Cozad, Bonnie Ruth Bearden, Evelyn Adams and Mary Corbin; and his sister-in-law Johnnie Mae "Tootsie" Pee.

He is survived by: his children, John M. "Mitch" Cozad (Janie) and Gala Armstrong (Randy); his grandchildren, Wade Cozad, Jessica "Jessie" White (Derrick), Cody Armstrong and Clint Armstrong (Katelyn); his brothers, Robert "Bob" Cozad (Betty) and Jerry Cozad (Evelyn); and his siblings-in-law, Fred Pee (Karen) and Margean Cozad. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
