With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nelda W. Spicer (Birmingham, Alabama), born in Clay, Alabama, who passed away on October 15, 2018 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Stansell and Ola Stansell; her son David Wesley; and her siblings, Jack Stansell, Elene Limbaugh and Annie Mae Knight.

She is survived by: her husband John W. Spicer; her daughter Denise Godsey (Wayne); her grandchildren, Bethany Hollis (Bobby), Brittany Hope, Garrett Godsey (Amber), Jacob Wesley, Jared Wesley and Josh Wesley; and her great grandchildren, Zoey Hollis and Halona Wesley.
