She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Henry Hill and Luna Belle Johnson Hill; her former husband Huland Yates (Gus); and her siblings, Vonceile Thornton and James Hill.
She is survived by: her husband Gus Yates; her daughter Kathryn Ann Yates Girardeau (Bob) of Birmingham; her grandchildren, Jackson Yates Girardeau (Kaitlin) of New Orleans and Merrill Lee Girardeau of Birmingham; and her great grandchild Julian Martin Girardeau of New Orleans.
A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Covenant Presbyterian Church (65 Old Montgomery Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35209).
