She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Mims and Nettie Mims; her husband F. Norman Anderton; her daughters, Norma Gayle Jones and Joy Faye Anderton; and her grandson Michael Norman Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Ann Clover of St. George and Keith Mims Anderton (Frances) of Mountain Brook. She is also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
