She was predeceased by : her parent Chas. She is survived by : her husband R. C. Lavender; her daughter Marsha Lavender; her stepdaughters, Mary Rollins (Don), Betty Parker (Harold) and Peggy Wasley; and her caregivers, Holly and Janet. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, June 17th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Hoover (2025 Patton Chapel Rd, Birmingham, AL 35216). A funeral service was held on Monday, June 17th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
