We are sad to announce that on May 7, 2024, at the age of 82, Margaret K Abernathy (Birmingham, Alabama), born in Hickory Valley, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Margaret may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Howard Kirk and Gladys Mestad Kirk; her husband John "Johnny" P. Abernathy, Jr.; and her brother Everett "Sonny" Kirk. She is survived by: her children, Susan (Tim) and Kirk (Betsey); and her grandchildren, Pierce, Peyton Garrison, Holland and Fox Abernathy.
