We are sad to announce that on January 9, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Lila Snipes Slappey (Birmingham, Alabama), born in Florence, South Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Snipes and Lillian Snipes. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Carter Slappey; her children, Meredith Slappey Halcomb (Kevin), Adrienne Slappey Moore (Bill) and Carter Slappey, Jr. (Brittany); her grandchildren, Helen, Anne Halcomb, June, Ivey, Billy Moore, Rachel and Carter Slappey; and her sister Betsy Snipes. She is also survived by mother to her three children.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to her grandchildren's churches. These donations will specifically be used to further the children's ministry in each church.
