He is survived by: his children, Linda Vanessa Maye, Leonard Maye Junior (Lolita) and Malcolm Fitzgerald Maye (Sheila); his grandchildren, LaJuana S. Grice, Carina D. Maye, Christina A. Maye, Sydni L. Maye, Malea D. Maye and Jayla A. Maye; his great grandchildren, Lewe Glenn and Josiah Martin; and his siblings-in-law, Henry L. Patterson of Birmingham, Essie Patterson of Atlanta, Georgia and Burnice Patterson of Birmingham, Alabama..
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Smith & Gaston Funeral Services (102 6th Ave SW, Birmingham, AL 35211). A celebration of life was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel Baptist Church (1637 Pearson Ave SW, Birmingham, AL 35211).
