It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon Flynn of Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on January 27, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Austin Flynn and Mary Ada McDonald of Guin, Alabama.; and his siblings, Clyde Flynn, Therman Flynn, Lucion Flynn, Cecil Flynn, Edna Picket and Christine Collins.
He is survived by: his wife Joy Beard of Fayette, AL; his children, Charlotte Joy Moncrief (Mike) of Decatur, AL and Samuel Leon Flynn (Amanda) of Springville, AL; his grandchildren, Peter Moncrief (DK) of Decatur, AL and Rachel Perkins (Chris) of Baileyton, AL; and his great grandchildren, Caleb Perkins, Tabitha Perkins, Gabriel Moncrief, Gideon Moncrief and Alex Moncrief.
