She was predeceased by: her parents, Minnefield Mooney, Sr. and Lottie Mooney; and her siblings, Mirriah Irby, Ruth Lewis, Bessie Lowery and Grady Mooney.
She is survived by: her family, Michael Mooney (Kimberly) of Bear and Curtis Mooney (Yolanda) of Birmingham, Alabama; her grandchildren, Michael Mooney, Jr., Mykel Mooney (Imani) and Mikia Mooney of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; her family, Curtis Mooney, Jr. and Ralph Mooney of Birmingham, Alabama; her great grandchildren, Marlo Mooney, Milani Mooney, Markari Mooney and Micah Mooney of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; her siblings, Minnefield Mooney, Jr. and Beatrice Brockington; and her family Landsdowne Avenune.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Smith & Gaston Funeral Services (102 6th Ave SW, Birmingham, AL 35211). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Oakland Cemetery (1230 Warrior Rd, Birmingham, AL 35218).
