He is survived by: his brother Bryan Ministries; his children, Robert Thomas Self (Patricia) of King, Kathy June Self Thompson (Mark) of Glendale, Kristy June Self Carr (James) of Birmingham and William Thomas Self (Marianne) of Oviedo; his grandchildren, Robert Thomas Self, Jr (Nili), Erica Ann Self, Jacob Thomas Thompson, Sarah Kathryn Thompson, Kerrie Lynn Carr, Julie Elizabeth Carr, Zachary Thomas Self, Ryan Thomas Self, Matthew Thomas Self and Michael Thomas Self; his nieces, Donna Yarbrough and Denise Dow; and his nephew Bobby Dean Houlditch, Jr..
His Christian faith guided his daily actions, and as a result, he faithfully donated to the Jimmy Hale Mission, Brother Bryan Ministries, World Vision, and the Christian Service Mission, where he made a monthly donation of food through the last month of his life.
