She was predeceased by: her parents, John August and Hilda Schoel Werner; and her granddaughter Shelly Kincaid Darling. She is survived by: her children, Denise Shaw, Shirley Kincaid, Denny Ragland (Susan) and Renee Bishop (Ron); her grandchildren, Randy Shaw (Rachel), Reese Kincaid (Megan), Elizabeth Ragland Phipps (Nate), Kate Ragland, Travis Bishop and Emily Bishop; her siblings, Miriam Hartley and John A. Werner, Jr. (Martha); and her caregivers, Ester Namolo, Cynthia Thomas and Ashley Reid. She is also survived by 7 greatgrandchildren.
Before she died, Kathryn expressed the wish that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Irondale United Methodist Church or the Fountain of Love at Fair Haven.
