It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Juanita B. Blackburn of Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on July 27, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon (Golia Beck) and Juanita; her husband Gerald Blackburn; and her brothers, Vernon Beck, Rayburn Beck and Rudy Beck.

She is survived by: her children, Vance Blackburn (Karen), Mike Blackburn (Cindy) and Kandy Huynh (Hoang); her grandchildren, Caroline Wallace (Jim), Will Blackburn (Sarah), Ben Blackburn (Eden), Katy Blackburn, Ruth Blackburn, David Blackburn (Julianne), Caleb Huynh, Danielle Huynh, Kristen Huynh and Emily Huynh; her sister Joyce Tatum (Tex); and her caregivers, Juanita, Martia Simmons, Cherita Scott, Tunisia Jones, Jackie Pelmer and Veranda Melton. She is also survived by her children and grandchildren.

Because of Juanita and Gerald's love for and involvement in sharing Jesus' love around the world, family requests donations be sent to the International Mission Board.
