It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John H. Harless of Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on November 29, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra Potter Harless; his brother Ronnie Harless; and his son Keith Harless. He is survived by: his children, Kathy Michelle Harless and Michael Shane Harless; his sister Kaye Vicars; his siblings-in-law, Jane Harless, Charles E. "Chuck" Potter, Jr. and Ann Bobo Potter; and his great grandchildren, Jeff Brewer, Julie Brewer of Jacob Brewer, J. P, Sam Harless, Olivia Harless, Arabella Brewer, Dylan Brewer, Kace Pryor and Thomas Pryor. He is also survived by father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Firehouse Community Arts Center, which is a local non-profit organization that provides music lessons to underserved students in the Birmingham community (firehousecac.org).
