With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Devlin Plaxco (Birmingham, Alabama), who passed away on March 14, 2021 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Moffatt Ross and Agnes Devlin Plaxco; his siblings, Moffatt Ross Plaxco, Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Patrick; his siblings-in-law, Faye Tynes Dick and Hubbard Armstrong Tynes; and his son James Moffatt Plaxco.
He is survived by: his children, John "Jack" Plaxco and Margaret Chandler; his grandchildren, Lelia Wilcox (Ian), Kathryn Drake (Kory), John Plaxco (Kat Moore), Daniel Chandler (Megan Holder), David Chandler (Annie), Paul Chandler (Jessica) and Marie Curtis (Quinn); his great grandchildren, Kathryn, Evelyn, Maggie Flynn, Leda Wilcox, Rowan, Madelyn, Felicity Drake, Annabelle, Sophia Chandler, Marcee Jeanne, Isabelle Chandler, Boone and Lexi Curtis; and his siblings-in-law, Marion Dick and Allene Tynes. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
