He was predeceased by: his parents, John Tom Nixon and Valerie Joy Nixon; and his stepmother Christine Nixon. He is survived by: his sisters, Tina Runyan (Donald) and Carolyn Nixon Grammer; his children, John David Nixon Jr. and Sharon Elaine Wilkerson; and his grandchildren, William Austin Nixon, Victoria Ruth Nixon, Justin Pate, Dakota Wilkerson and Lane Wilkerson.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the John Nixon Bus Driver Memorial fun through any Regions Bank.
