He was predeceased by: his wife Chiyoka; his parents, Hattie Hope and WIlliam Robertson Nettles; and his siblings, Betty Baird Nettles and David Hope Nettles.
He is survived by: his daughter Elizabeth Nettles of Los Angeles; his siblings, Bill Nettles of Meridian and Robin Nettles Gemerchak of Toledo; and his friends, Maria, Leos of Center Point, Lubov and John King of Hoover. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
