She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph J. Rookis and Annie Mae Rookis (Naro); her siblings, Nasief, Henry and Elizabeth Sudano; and her son Jeffrey Sanders Bishop.
She is survived by: her husband Sanders; her daughter Regina Gongre; her grandchildren, Anna Goodwin (Noah), Alexis Bishop and Alison Gongre; and her sister Rosann Rookis Messer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A rosary was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 7:30 PM at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church (217 2nd St SE, Cullman, AL 35055). Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 12:15 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Bernard Abbey Church (1600 St Bernard Dr SE, Cullman, AL 35055). A Mass was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
