He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Garner and Estelle Shipman Garner; and his sister Carol A. Pitts. He is survived by: his sister Brenda Gaither (Howard); and his nieces and nephews, Carla Stremel (Carl), Mike Pitts (Renea), Keith Gaither (Karin) and Sharon Teer (Wesley).
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bell Forestdale Chapel (2077 Pratt Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35214). A burial was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at the Highland Memorial Gardens (3115 18th Ave, Bessemer, AL 35020).
