She was predeceased by: her parents, Bess Gailmard and Douglas G. Burnette Sr.; and her sisters, Marie Cleage and Johanna McWhorter. She is survived by: her children, Douglas G. Burnette, Jr. Diane (Cheree), Beverly Fox and Kristy Burnette; her grandchildren, Rachel (Sean), Paul (Kelly), Angela (Stephen), Matthew (Rachel) and Elizabeth "Bess" (Matthew); and her great grandchildren, Adam, Jack, Liam, Sophia, Elise, Vivian, Felicity and Brooks.
