He was predeceased by: his parents, JD Watkins and Catherine Mae Martin Watkins. He is survived by: his wife Mary Hanson Watkins; his brother Dr. John Watkins (Sheila); his sister-in-law Carol Hanson (Lee); his nieces and nephews, Jimmy Watkins and Hanson Watkins; his great-nephew Joshua Martin Watkins (Ann Marie); his grandchildren, Jack Spine, Emma Watkins, Charlie Spine and Ella Watkins; his nephew Brax Watkins (Kim); and his nieces, Katey Watkins, Candace Underwood (Richard), Holly Smith (Fred) and Heather Payne (Mike).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mountain Brook Baptist Church or your favorite charity.
