He was predeceased by: his parents, Ily Taunton and Minnie Taunton. He is survived by: his wife Janice Taunton; his children, Amy Leigh Logue (Samuel Asa, Jr.) and Philip James Taunton (Joni Lynn Gantt); his granddaughters, Stella, Cecelia and Caroline; and his sister Becky Monroe (Gerald).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home (1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
