He was predeceased by: his wife Janice Putman Gillespie; his parents, Clifford Gillespie and Ewell Palmer Gillespie; and his brother Robert. He is survived by: his daughters, Julie Saint, Jodi Tetzlaff of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Jeanie Green (Russell, Sr.) of Oneonta and Joy Gillespie (Jonathan Frechette) of Winston, Georgia.; his grandsons, Russell Green, Jr. (Jessica), Christopher Green and Michael Green (Christina); his great grandchildren, Piper Ann, Avery Grace and Owen Grady; and his sister-in-law Marilyn Gillespie.
