We are sad to announce that on August 14, 2024, at the age of 83, James Maxwell Austin Jr. of Birmingham, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Max Austin Sr. and Edna Erle Turner Austin of Wetumpka, AL. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Musgrove Austin of Homerville, GA.; his children, Lindsey Austin Trammell Dungan (Jeffrey) and James Maxwell Austin III (Shannon); his grandchildren, Patrick Lee Trammell III, Nancy Austin Trammell, David Benson Necaise, Lily Kate Necaise and Molly Maxwell Austin; and his sisters, Jacqueline Erle Austin and Dana Austin-LaFrance. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of usual remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions honoring the life of Dr. Austin be directed to the Norma Livingston Ovarian Cancer Foundation.
