It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Franklin Munkus of Birmingham, Alabama, born in Bluff Park, Alabama, who passed away on February 6, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Jerome Munkus and Hazel Paralee Sellers Munkus; and his siblings, Margaret Akins, Shirley Rose Vincent, Bennie Eugene Munkus and Charles Edward Munkus.

He is survived by: his brother Richard Munkus (Dorothy); and his cousin Jon Rey Sullivan (Pat). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
