We are sad to announce that on May 3, 2021, at the age of 86, James F Purnell (Birmingham, Alabama) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Cain Purnell; his children, Patrick (Sally) and Sally (Jonathan); his siblings, Creigh (Ann), Wilda and Mike; and his grandchildren, Ferrell Carter, Ella Carter, Helen Purnell and Egan Purnell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Liberty Park Baptist Church, or to a charity of your choice.
