He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Strong, Sr. and Elsie C. Strong of Utica, Mississippi.. He is survived by: his wife Ladene B. Strong; his children, Mandy (Brad), Richard (Melissa) and Douglas (Erika); and his brother Bob Strong (Patricia). He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.
