With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Dewey Kyle Sr. (Birmingham, Alabama), who passed away on January 21, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Kyle and Elvie Kyle; and his son Jimmy. He is survived by: his wife Geri (Geri); his daughters, Debbie (Barry), Becky (Roger) and Susan (Doug); his grandchildren, Russ, Luke, Matthew, Andrew, Emily, Jessica and Tiffany; and his great grandchildren, Ava, Mary, Joy and Fletcher.

“Dear Kyle family, I am sad to hear of Dewey passing. I can't tell you how much all of you mean to me even though it has been many years since I have laid eyes on any of you. Dewey meant so much to me and helped make me the man I am today. (the good parts) Those choir tours, practices, activities building Rook playing and many other things are part of my wonderful memories. There was just two things that I could not fix though, being able to outbid Geri in Rook and teach Becky how to wink.”
