He was predeceased by: his parents, William Andrew Bankston and Annie Gertrude Kuykendall Bankston. He is survived by: his wife Annie Lou Bankston; his children, Melanie Holmes (David) of Decatur and Eric Bankston of Birmingham; and his grandchildren, Drew Holmes (Ashley) of Kansas City and Ashley Brewer (Will) of Florence.
