We bid farewell to Jack Davis Wells Sr. in Birmingham, Alabama, born in Greenville, Alabama, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 16, 2025 at the age of 88. Jack Davis touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma Findley Wells Pickens and Judson Marvin Wells; his stepfather John Andy Pickens; and his wife Olivia Kindig Wells. He is survived by: his children, Judson William Wells Sr. (Barbara), Ann Wells Forney (John) and Jack Davis Wells Jr. (Melinda); his grandchildren, Dr. Judson William Wells Jr., Mary Shannon Hodes (August), Courtney Ann Wells and Jack Davis Wells III; his great grandchild Wells Christopher Hodes; his sister Margaret Wells Champion (Gene); and his siblings-in-law, Elaine Kindig Bagby and Lamar Campbell Bagby. He is also survived by three nephews and two nieces.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made in Jack's memory to Children's of Alabama (Child Life Program), The University of Alabama (REACH Program), or Trinity United Methodist Church.
